The firm works with building owners, project managers, architects and contractors either as a principal consultant or as a part of a multi-disciplinary team. The staff are experienced in the design and site inspection of structural and civil works ranging from commercial buildings, industrial projects, and residential developments to parks and public space projects.The structural survey and refurbishment of existing commercial and industrial buildings is an increasing part of our workload together with due diligence reports for prospective vendors or purchasers.

In addition to the conventional workload in concrete, steel, masonry and timber, the office has specialised experience in lightweight roofs, membrane structures, cable supported structures and post-tensioned concrete floors. Experience in civil works includes concrete tanks, retaining structures, and pavement design.

The aim of the practice is to provide clients with an efficient and accurate service which coordinates neatly with other professional disciplines. Innovative and pro-active design and review during construction is intended to achieve the completion of projects of quality and economy.

Mark has experience in the design, documentation and site supervision of a wide range of commercial, industrial and residential structures as well as public space projects, spanning 21 years. Specialising in reinforced and post-tensioned concrete frames, structural steelwork frames and lateral (wind and earthquake) analysis of multi-storey buildings. He is interested in the optimisation of structures through the use of computer aided analysis and project management that results in highly buildable structures delivered on time.

Increasingly, Mark is being called in for the 'second phase' of projects, that is post construction, to provide building diagnostics, rectification details and/or to act as an expert witness in legal matters.
